About Our Guest:
Ariana Mufson, LICSW, CST, Psychotherapist, provides psychotherapy for adults with a specialty in anxiety disorders, women’s mental health, and sex therapy (AASECT certified). She has trained in a variety of modalities including CBT (cognitive behavioral therapy), DBT (dialectical behavioral therapy), MI (motivational interviewing), GPM (general psychiatric management), and psychodynamic psychotherapy. Ariana prides herself on using humor and empathy to help clients push through their struggles. She encourages clients to explore their goals for seeking change and supports them in finding the motivation, insight, and skills to cope.
Ariana earned her Master of Social Work from Simmons College and completed a two-year residency in the Brigham and Women’s Hospital system. She worked for several years in McLean Hospital’s Dissociative Disorder and Trauma Program, where she also ran inpatient groups and a hospital-wide family support group. Most recently, she served as an outpatient clinician at the Fish Center for Women’s Health, at the Chestnut Hill satellite for Brigham and Women’s Hospital.
